Microneedling works by stimulating the skin's natural repair process, triggering the production of collagen and elastin to restore strength and support to the skin's texture and tone.
This minimally invasive treatment utilizes tiny, single-use, sterile needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, kickstarting the body's natural healing response. Through this process, collagen production is stimulated, resulting in smoother, tighter, and more radiant skin.
You may see results following treatment, however, the most dramatic results will be visible 4 to 6 weeks after treatment. It takes roughly this long for your body to create new, strong, healthy collagen.
For optimal results, a series of 3-6 sessions is recommended.
Each session should be spaced apart at least 4 weeks from one another to allow for proper healing and collagen remodeling. Each session is approximately 1 hour and includes the application of topical anesthetic for your comfort.
During the treatment, most clients describe the sensation as comfortable, likening it to a rough/scratchy massage. This treatment has minimal "down-time".
Immediately after, you will experience redness, warmth, and tightness similar to a mild sunburn. By the 2nd day, any lingering pinkness can be covered with makeup if desired. By the 5th day, your skin may feel a bit rough/dry in texture and need a light exfoliation with a gentle exfoliating cleanser.
As your skin heals, it's essential to follow a gentle skincare routine, including cleansing, moisturizing, and applying SPF to protect your skin from sun damage and support the natural healing process.
Your skin will continue to build collagen and elastin beyond 30 days.
